The Faithful Taxicab (Sadık Taksi) is a short story by O. Henry, an American writer famous for his twist endings. The story is about a taxicab driver named Jimmy who is struggling to make ends meet. One day, a wealthy businessman named Henry G. Flower gets into his cab and asks to be taken to a series of unusual destinations. As they travel together, the two men strike up a conversation and Jimmy reveals his dream of owning his own cab. Flower takes pity on him and gives him a large tip, which Jimmy uses to buy his own cab. In the end, Jimmy becomes a successful businessman himself and names his car The Faithful Taxicab in honor of his fateful encounter with Flower. The story is often seen as a commentary on the generosity of the wealthy and the idea that small acts of kindness can have a big impact.
